In 2009, Talal was invited to join Dubai-based Media Production magazine as a contributing writer for Film.

Al-Muhanna's contributions include reports on regional film festivals, news related to developments within the regional film industry and interviews with Arab filmmakers.

Media Production was founded by creative partners Hamad Al-Saab & Ali Sultan.
