In 2008 & 2009 Talal was an Editorial Contributing writer for Dubai-based Media Production magazine.  In this capacity, he wrote articles on regional film festivals and industry initiatives in the Gulf region, conducted interviews with filmmakers of Arab descent and presented research on international opportunities for film funding of Arab film projects.
